Uptown Suites pet-friendly temporary housing offers affordable, apartment-style lodging that’s comfortable for you and your dog during an extended stay. Before you let the challenge of finding a place to stay with your dog stop you from making plans, consider booking at one of our pet-friendly extended stay properties. All Uptown Suites’ locations welcome relocators,  traveling nurses, business contractors, or people on extended trips to stay with a dog. We won’t require you to sign a lease, and our suites offer more in-room amenities than a traditional hotel to help you and your pooch feel at ease.

Choosing Pet-Friendly Lodging

Arriving at a destination to discover the property doesn’t allow your pet is a big inconvenience. It pays to do your homework first to avoid disappointment or challenges later. Whether you’re booking pet-friendly corporate housing or an extended stay when moving or relocating, consider these factors before reserving your room:

The Hotel’s Pet Policies

Asking about the property’s policies when booking a pet-friendly extended stay is the easiest way to understand whether your dog will be permitted to join you. Uptown Suites allows one dog to stay in your suite with you. Your dog must weigh 40 lbs. or less, be healthy and housebroken, and meet all other pet policies. We ask that you register your pet during your stay. Each reservation will include a per-day pet fee.

The Cost of Pet Fees

Make sure you understand the pet fees so you can budget accordingly. Uptown Suites offers transparent pet fees, which are capped for longer stays. You will be charged a $20/per day pet fee, up to $200. Should you reach that $200 limit, you will be charged a one-time additional fee of $50 for the remainder of your stay. The best part is that you can pay for your lodging and pet fees up front so there’s no guesswork on the cost of your stay (unless pet-related accidents or damages occur).

Consider Your Needs for An Extended Stay

While you may be focused on finding any extended stay hotel that welcomes dogs, your lodging choice also must meet your needs. Families, traveling nurses, construction crews, and corporate contractors appreciate our property perks and dog-friendly rooms. The on-site, 24/7 gym and laundry facility, and your in-room kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, a two-burner stove top, and a microwave, make a stay of any length convenient.

Our flexible reservations and furnished dog-friendly lodging are two reasons people with pets choose Uptown Suites for emergency housing during medical events or natural disasters. When your plans change, we make it easy to adjust or extend your reservations online.

If you or your employees with dogs travel for business or construction projects, book pet-friendly corporate housing at Uptown Suites to enjoy group travel benefits, simplified arrangements, and streamlined billing. Our rooms include super-fast Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, task lighting, and a workspace to help anyone stay productive from the comfort of their suite. Uptown properties also provide handicap-accessible rooms and we always permit approved service animals to accommodate guests who need assistance.

Pet-Friendly Hotel Etiquette

We want you and your pet to enjoy your stay, but it’s also important to consider other guests. Following our pet policies and standard pet etiquette can ensure everyone enjoys their time at Uptown Suites. Here are a few tips to remember as you make arrangements for your extended stay:

Don’t Leave Your Pet

Pets love company, so don’t leave your dog alone in your suite. A lonely pet is more likely to chew on things they shouldn’t or bark and disrupt other guests. Please bring your dog along when you leave your suite, and remember to keep your pet on a leash when walking through the property.

Half the fun of a pet-friendly extended stay is taking your pup along wherever you go. Check out our list of dog-friendly establishments near our Uptown Suites locations.

Prepare Your Pooch

A potty-trained pooch is a necessity when it comes to staying at any pet-friendly extended stay. You’ll feel less stressed when you aren’t worried about cleaning up after your pet and we’ll be able to keep our rooms looking great for other guests. If your dog isn’t used to being on a leash or contained, practice this beforehand to help your pet understand what behavior is expected.

We know accidents happen. If something gets damaged by your pet, we just ask that you pay a fee to cover the cost.

Helpful Tips For a Pet-Friendly Extended Stay

Uptown Suites accommodations are designed to make each guest—and their dog—feel at home but some pets may need extra comforts during a transition to temporary housing. While the suite’s Wi-Fi, streaming-capable HDTV, and expanded channel lineup cover your entertainment needs, your dog may not feel the same. When preparing for your extended stay, consider these ideas to make your canine pal even more comfortable and calm:

Make Your Buddy Feel At Home

Sometimes new places can be scary for dogs. Help your dog acclimate by bringing their favorite treats, blanket, bed, and toys. These items make your suite feel familiar and help your pet feel at ease and calm. Our suites feature plenty of space to organize your belongings and store your dog’s necessities.

Long Walks & Playtime

Long walks and ample playtime make your pal a good boy! Exercise and fresh air are great for you and do wonders for an anxious or overactive pet. Uptown Suites’ properties offer convenience to walking trails, suburban parks, and other fun dog-friendly places. Remember to pack a leash, a frisbee or ball, a portable water bowl, and other necessities to make your outings successful. With appropriate exercise, your pup will be relaxed while in your suite.
